Newport Ivory kitchen

Newport Ivory kitchen.

The Newport Ivory kitchen is based on one of my favorite kitchen door fronts. The Newport is not generally offered in a paint finish; as standard, it comes from our supplier in a beautiful natural oak. We sprayed this work in our own spray booth to offer the clients the door they wanted despite the fact that is was not actually available. We could have sprayed this door to any colour to the same quality, at the same price.

In Seatown Devon, we installed this Newport Ivory kitchen with a 30mm Kashmir Gold granite worktop and Ash dresser top. With the rigid cabinets, granite work tops, ash work top, a full set of Bosch appliances and a significant number of internal fittings this kitchen came to a little over £29,000 including vat. An extensive kitchen and pretty much one with everything on it too!

Our client came to us from local and internet advertising; it was a pleasure to work with an entirely new client that had not been recommended to us. One feels that one is doing something right when a client offers confidence in oneself without their having prior knowledge. The clients had recently moved into this property which apparently was used for some telecommunications function in the distant past; there were phone wires everywhere.

Our fitter Neil Wilson carried out the kitchen installation. As part of the work Neil refinished the slate floor bringing out it’ s natural beauty complimenting the Kashmir Gold granite. The installation included a home office area as one can see to the right of the Aga. File suspension systems can be part of a kitchen if that is your requirement! Electrical, plumbing and wall tiling were also involved; to complete the refurbishment of the kitchen as viewed here. Neil also sorted out some of the phone wires.

Since installation, the client has recalled us to carry out a minor refurbishment. The office facility was refinished to storage more suitable to kitchen use. One does retire apparently sometimes. Some of the doors needed a little attention as paint work can wear over the years unless one is very careful with wet hands and similar. We also introduced a gas domino hob to the right of the Aga. This refurbishment work was made much simpler by having an exact record of the ivory colour used in our records.
