The Arundel is heavily sculpted knotty oak kitchen available in two colourways. The Natural and Character oaks. The Arundel Character Oak is a very french kitchen, while the Arundel Natural Oak gives a more cottage styling.
The Arundel kitchen is one of a kind. The oak selected for this kitchen is strongly knotty, this timber gives the kitchen unrivaled character. The frame of the door is detailed with stop bead to left and right top and bottom. At the corners, the frame is pinned with oak pins, the outer edge of the frame is sanded back to soften the edge. The flat center panel is where you will find the majority of the knots. Altogether a wonderful sculpted french oak looking kitchen.
Years ago I was often asked about timber front edging to laminate worktops, they were popular at the time. I was never keen as a designer on wood front edged work top. Those who did have them were finding that the timber finish would wear especially in the area of the sink. The fact that wood finishes do not like water is a fact one cannot get away with. It is the same with timber worktops. If one is going to have a timber worktop one has to expect that it will wear, sometimes rapidly if not maintained.
